Dal profondo della notte che mi avvolge,
\nBuia come un abisso che va da un polo all\u2019altro,
\nRingrazio qualsiasi dio esista
\nPer la mia indomabile anima.<\/p>\n

Nella feroce morsa delle circostanze
\nNon mi sono tirato indietro n\u00e9 ho gridato.
\nSotto i colpi d\u2019ascia della sorte
\nIl mio capo \u00e8 sanguinante, ma indomito.<\/p>\n

Oltre questo luogo di collera e di lacrime
\nIncombe solo l\u2019Orrore delle ombre,
\nEppure la minaccia degli anni
\nMi trova, e mi trover\u00e0, senza paura.<\/p>\n

Non importa quanto stretto sia il passaggio,
\nQuanto piena di castighi la vita,
\nIo sono il padrone del mio destino:
\nIo sono il capitano della mia anima.<\/p>\n
